Does it need batteries or charging?

No batteries and no LEDs. It charges from light and glows by itself. Nothing to plug in or replace.

How does it keep the game going?

It glows bright in the dark, so friends and family can keep playing long after the sun goes down.

How do I make it glow?

Hold it under any light or a phone flashlight for a couple of minutes, then play. It glows on its own.

What's included?

One glow-in-the-dark rugby ball, ready to play out of the box, plus a free Throw Like a Pro drills ebook.

The best games end the moment it gets dark

You're all out on the grass, friends and family, right in the middle of it. Then the light goes, nobody can see the ball, and everyone heads home before anyone's ready to stop.

So the ball ends up back in the closet

The weeks slip by, the gear gathers dust, and those easy evenings tossing it around with your people happen less and less. Half the year it's dark before you even get started.

The rugby gift he actually uses

I’ve bought my son plenty of rugby stuff that ends up sitting in his room. Not this one. He immediately took it outside with his mates and they spent the evening doing passing drills and trying long spirals under the lights. Easily one of the better rugby gifts I’ve bought him.

Got him off the screen and back outside.

I was looking for something my 11-year-old would actually get excited about besides gaming. The first night we tried this, he was outside practicing passes with his dad until I called them in. If your kid already loves footy, the glow effect makes it feel completely new again.

Finally, training doesn’t end when the sun goes down.

My son is rugby-mad and was always annoyed when it got too dark to keep passing in the backyard. This ball actually makes those evening passing sessions way more fun because you can still track it clearly. He takes it outside almost every night after dinner now.

Thought it would be a gimmick, but the kids love it.

I honestly bought it because it looked cool, but it’s become one of the most-used balls in our house. The glow makes backyard passes and kick-arounds at dusk completely different. My boys even bring it to training to show their teammates.

    Perfect for those after-training kick-arounds

By the time rugby training finishes it’s usually getting dark, but my son never wants to leave the field. Now he and his mates can keep throwing passes around without struggling to see the ball. Definitely a hit with the rugby boys.
